New and highly attractive style opposition at Fuse, with no-compromise techno in the Main Room and lighter grooves in the Motion Room with the return of the Down Under collective.

In the Main Room we’ll be dishing up two of the most prolific techno producers around at this moment: one the one side Len Faki, resident of the feted Berghain in Berlin, used to wrapping up his audience with his blend of rolling energetic techno, and on the other side the Italian Joseph Capriati, protege of a certain Adam Beyer, who’s been racking up successive releases on Drumcode as well as on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 imprint, his techno is minimal yet hypnotic. It won’t leave you unaffected!

We were personal fans of their nights at Silo, with line ups forever composed by their enthusiastic residents Ken, Davy and Dezz Terquez. After three nights at Fuse and a New Year’s Eve anthology revival at Silo, let there be no doubt, Down Under is one of the concepts you should hook up to without delay. Over the course of their nights the guys have been able to create a festive atmosphere in a musically coherent frame, an atmosphere completely compatible with with Fuse’s Motion Room: warm and intimate. For this latest edition, they’ve decided to let us discover one of the numerous Romanian pearls: the Noidoi duo, being of Oslo label fame.

Nouvelle très alléchante opposition de style au Fuse, avec une techno sans concession dans la Main Room et des grooves plus aérés dans la Motion avec le retour du collectif Down Under.

En bas nous aurons droit a deux des producteurs les plus prolifiques de la scène techno. Avec d’un coté Len Faki, résident au célèbre Berghain de Berlin, habitué à terrasser son audience au moyen d’une techno roulante et énergique, et de l’autre l’italien Joseph Capriati, le protégé d’Adam Beyer qui enchaine depuis quelques années les sorties de qualité sur Drumcode mais aussi sur le prestigieux label Plus8 de Richie Hawtin… sa techno minimale et hypnotique ne vous laissera surement pas de glace.






On avait déjà apprécié leurs nombreuses soirées au Silo, une programmation de qualité emmenée par des résidents talentueux et enthousiastes Ken, Davy et Dezz Terquez.
Trois soirées au Fuse plus tard et un revival d’anthologie pour le nouvel an au Silo, le doute n’est plus permis, Down Under est bien est des concepts a suivre de toute urgence. Au fil des soirées ils ont réussi a créer une atmosphère festive dans un cadre musical cohérent. Atmosphère qui s’est avérée totalement compatible avec la Motion room du Fuse, chaleureuse et intimiste.
Pour cette nouvelle édition , Ils ont décidé de nous faire découvrir une des nombreuses perle de la “filière roumaine”, le duo Noidoi, notamment connu pour avoir signé sur Oslo.

Once upon a time there was a cruel world where mainstream music reigned and where the poor inhabitants were subjected to the unflinching law of rose-water music, sprinkled with harsh sleep inducing R&B… And so the entire planet was subjected to this musical occupation. Entirely? Not entirely no. Certain club resisted the invader bitterly. Such a club is Fuse.
Sadly this club also harbored a terrible curse. High up in the dungeon princess Nina was kept alseep, with only a kiss of techno hoping to ever wake her up.
A lost cause many thought, but fortunately in strode the two valiant resident dj, the intrepid knight Pierre and the valorous prince Deg. After many a trial they arrive at the top of the castle and liberate the sleeping beauty. To celebrate this glorious occasion we will put together a night in their honor, where all three of them will be playing for the happy and jubilant people!

Hailing from the far flung Siberia, Nina Kraviz has had to tear up the cliches and prove that she hasn’t made it purely on her esthetic merits. She has succeeded with success, racking up quality releases on labels such as Naif, Rekids of even Bpitch Control. Behind the decks also to high approval, delving into a large register of deep house funky kind with a more minimal oriented kind of techno.

Il était une fois un monde cruel ou la barbarie de la musique mainstream régnait en maitre, et ou les pauvres habitants étaient soumis a la dure loi de la chanson à l’eau de rose, le tout arrosé de R&B strident ou de mélodies soporifiques.
Ainsi toute la planète était occupée musicalement. Toute? non, car quelques clubs résistaient encore et toujours à l’envahisseur. C’était le cas du Fuse.
Malheureusement ce club abritait en son sein une terrible malédiction. En effet, en haut du donjon dormait la princesse Nina, que seul un baiser techno pouvait réveiller.
On croyait la cause perdue, mais heureusement arrivèrent les deux valeureux résidents, L’intrépide chevalier Pierre et le valeureux prince Deg. Après beaucoup d’épreuves ils arrivèrent jusqu’en haut du chateau et délivrèrent la belle.
Pour fêter ça on organisa une grande soirée en leur honneur, et ils jouèrent tous les trois pour la grande joie du peuple en liesse.



Venue tout droit de sa lointaine Sibérie, Nina Kraviz a du faire taire les clichés, et prouver qu’elle n’était pas la juste par la grace de sa seule plastique (tres) avantageuse. Et elle a réussi avec brio, enchainant les sorties de qualité sur des labels tels que Naif, Rekids ou encore Bpitch Control. Derrière les platines elle fait également l’unanimité, étalant un large registre allant d’une deep house des plus funky , a une techno plus minimale.

In our society we often hear talk of the generation conflict. At Fuse, having been around for almost 18 years, none of that: old hands, (the oft moaning type) present since the first hours of the club, cross the paths of the young debutants avid for new discovery. We’ll have another stunning case in point this time round with a style juxtaposition between Ellen Allien considered by many as the holy mother of Berlin techno and Seth Troxler, young hound with a kick in his stride.


We’ve stopped introducing Ellen Allien…. starting her career in the beginning of the 90′ies, she has played a more than significant part in the birth of the Berlin techno scene, more notably through her label Bpitch Control, but also thanks to her productions on cult status albums such as Stadtkind or even Berlinette. Always surprising her dj sets are always a witness of a decidedly sexy groove.



Seth Troxler grew up in Detroit. (The city famously created by Beelzebub while God was chilling out on the Seventh Day). Immersed in house since a young and tender age, having started to mix at his 16, only to move to Berlin only three years later, he didn’t wait to impose himself as a reference as a producer as well as behind the decks. An adept at provocation, he does get everyone to agree when playing his warm and enthralling sets in a way only he knows how. Last year with his partners in crime Ryan Crosson and Lee Curtis and Shaun Reeved he launched his own label ‘Visionquest’, that has grabbed the moment with every release since.

On entend souvent parler dans notre société de conflits de génération. Au Fuse, qui existe depuis presque 18 ans maintenant , rien de tout ça : de vieux briscards , présents depuis les premières heures, parfois un peu râleurs, y croisent de jeunes premiers avides de nouvelles découvertes. Nous en auront encore une large démonstration cette fois ci, avec une opposition de style entre Ellen Allien, considérée par beaucoup comme la “maman” de la scène Berlinoise, et Seth Troxler, jeune premier aux dents longues.



On ne présente plus Ellen Allien, commençant sa carrière au début des années 90, elle a pris une part significative dans la naissance de la scene techno a Berlin, notamment au travers de son label, Bpitch Control, mais aussi grace a ses productions avec des albums devenus cultes tels que Stadtkind ou encore Berlinette. Toujours surprenants, ses dj-sets sont toujours empreints d’un groove diablement sexy.



Seth Troxler a grandit à Detroit et a été baigné par la house dès son plus jeune âge, commençant a mixer dès ses 16 ans, et trois ans plus tard il partait déjà s’installer à Berlin, ne tardant pas à s’imposer comme une référence autant derrière les platines que comme producteur. Adepte de la provocation, il met tout le monde d’accord lorsqu’il passe des disques, grâce a un son chaud et entrainant propre à lui seul. L’année passée, avec ses compères Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtis et Shaun Reeves il lance son propre label “Visionquest”, qui depuis crée l’événement lors de chaque sortie.

Rhadoo is, with his compatriots Raresh and Pedro the spearpoint of the prolific Romanian scene, initiator of the Arpiar label and man behind a beautiful EP on Cadenza. Keen follower of a more delicate and clean house, his sets are sexy and mesmerizing.





Sensuality and melancholy are the two words who describe Tolga Fidan’s productions best, productions that the Istanbul native and Lessizmore artist of the very first hour will be bringing live.





Mara Trax is the perfect union of the two high priestesses of house, but also going through life as Vera and Mayaan Nidam, who have just released a highly remarkable ep on the prestigious Perlon imprint.





A live by the eccentric Dutchman San Proper looks like no other live you’ve seen before, he plays bass, sings and creates all this elements in a real time live, fusing with great joy techno, house and even a touch of disco.

On Saturday 21 april a night with two faces at Fuse, the faces of two underground legends, who have both in their unique styles contributed to the influence German electronic music has had these last 20 years.


Effectively, when most of us were still running around in shorts, in the early nineties Marcel Dettmann was already one of the leading djs in Berlin, and Move D had already created his own label Source Record and already boasted an EP on Warp.
For the occasion Marcel will be presenting his label ‘Marcel Dettmann Records’ , and will have tagged on to his luggage the very promising Wincent Kunth, while the Motion Room will be dishing up the second edition of ‘Off The Record’, with aforementioned Move D, and last but not least, DJ Qu, who’ll be bringing his own brand of warm and entertaining deep house ‘made in New-York’.

Soirée à deux visages au club ce samedi 21 avril, le visage de deux légendes underground, qui ont tous les deux, dans leur style bien a eux et totalement différents l’un de l’autre, contribués a l’influence incomparable qu’a eu la scene électronique allemande ces 20 dernières années.

En effet, alors que la plupart d’entre nous étaient encore en culotte courte, dans le début des années 90, Marcel Dettmann était déjà un des djs phares à Berlin et Move D avait déjà lancé son propre label, Source Records, et sorti un EP sur Warp.

Pour l’occasion Marcel présentera son label éponyme, et emmènera dans ses bagages le très prometteur Wincent Kunth, tandis que la motion accueillera la seconde édition de “Off The Record” avec donc Move D et, last but not least, Dj Qu nous amènera le son chaud et entêtant de la deep house new-yorkaise originelle.

Once upon a time there was this Manichean world made up of two forces both with the same father, but who couldn’t unite. On one side there was the cold and hypnotic world of techno and on the other side the languishing rhythms of house. In the middle a no mans land inhabited by purists too busy trying to separate these two intertwined worlds.

The God of music having seen all this decides to create a setting fit for their union, and he foundeth the Fuse, marvelous cavern where all electronic music declinations find a happy roof over their heads. It’s here that with great pomp and circumstance that the marriage of Mr. Slater and Ms Cadenza will be feted, their union a joy unto the clubbers.

A trained drummer, Luke Slater is a veteran of the tchno scene, a pioneer even, he releases his first tracks as early as 1989, and hasn’t ceased being prolific ever since, notably under his Planetary Assault Systems moniker, of which his latest productions show un unaffected love of the dance floor.

Cadenza, Luciano’s label needs no further introduction, unstoppable grooves and melodies with latino accents are the key words in an already impressive discography where artists like Ricardo Villalobos and Thomas Melchior or even Loco Dice flank young and upcoming talents.

Il était une fois un monde manichéen composé de deux forces ayant un même père mais qui n’arrivaient pas à se réunir. D’un coté il y’ avait le monde froid et hypnotique de la techno, et de l’autre les rythmes langoureux de la house, au milieu, un no mans land occupés par des puristes trop occupés a vouloir séparer ces deux mondes pourtant si semblables dans leur substance..
Le Dieu de la musique vit cela et décida de trouver un lieu propice à leur réunion, et il trouva le Fuse, merveilleux écrin ou se conjuguent toutes les passions pour la musique électronique. C’est là que, en grande pompe, se célébra le mariage de Mr Slater et de Madame Cadenza, et leur union fit de nombreux petits clubbers heureux.

Bateur de formation, Luke slater est un vétéran de la scène techno, voir un “pionnier”, il sort en effet ses premiers morceaux dès 1989, et n’a cessé d’être prolifique depuis, notament sous l’allias planetary assault, dont les dernières productions montre que les années n’ont pas affectés sa passion pour le dancefloor.

Cadenza est le label de Luciano, que l’on ne présente plus, grooves imparables et mélodies aux accents latinos sont les maîtres mots dans une discographie déja impressionante ou les artistes confirmés tels que Ricardo Villalobos , Thomas Melchior ou encore Loco Dice, côtoient de jeunes promesses en devenir, assurément un gage de qualité.

Tonight it’s a scotsman in the house. Will he play in Kilt? And if so, the eternal question will he wear anything underneath?
In any case, he’s a redhead… and drunk.. on Guinness! Guinness? But surely that’s Irish??? All the same to me.
Anyway, I just hope that he doesn’t break into a Celtic dance while playing the accordion, don’t that would be a plus for the club’s image…. We tried asking him but we couldn’t make out what he was going on about, what with the scottish accent and all that.

But as wise men say, let’s wait and see.

Ce soir, c’est un écossais qui joue.. va-t-il jouer en kilt? Et si oui, éternelle question, va-t-il mettre quelque chose en dessous?
En tout cas il sera roux.. et bourré… a la Guiness en plus! Comment? La Guiness c’est irlandais? autant pour moi.
En tout cas j’èspère qu’il ne commencera pas à faire une danse celtique en jouant de l’accordeon, ça serait pas bon pour l’image du club. On a essayé de lui demander si c’était le cas mais on a rien compris.. normal, avec leur accent on a l’impression qu’ils ont la bouche pleine.
Comment? j’ai pleins d’idées reçues? Et Gary Beck est là pour tordre le coup à tous ces préjugés. Bon, dans ce cas jugeons sur pièce et comme on dit là bas.. wait and see..

Schotland boven in de main room! Zal Gary Beck in een kilt spelen? Zoja blijft de eeuwige vraag uiteraard of hij er iets onderaan heeft of niet!
In ieder geval, hij is een schot… die teveel Guinness op heeft! Guinness? Dat is Iers zeker? Ach, is allemaal hetzelfde voor ons hoor. We hopen alvast dat hij niet geen Keltische dans doet terwijl hij op een accordion speelt, al zou het zeker een plus zijn voor het image van de club…
We hebben geprobeerd hem enkele vragen te stellen, maar begrepen niets van zijn schots accent.

Depuis la nuit des temps, les gens ont toujours eu besoin d’idoles, de héros. Qu’ils fassent partie de leur quotidien, des héros ordinaires, ou plutôt leur imaginaire, voire de leur mythologie. Au travers des âges chaque peuple et chaque culture aura trouvé son héros, qui lui aura servi de modèle ou d’exemple. Des héros de la mythologie grecque comme Hercule, aux personnages de l’imaginaire moyen-ageux tels que Robin des bois ou Tristan, en passant par les véritables références contemporaines que sont Chuck Norris et Justin Bieber.

Le Fuse n’échappe pas à la règle, nous avons aussi ce personnage idéal, courageux, plein d’abnégation, qui traverse les années sans rien perdre de sa popularité grâce a un style toujours très personnel, il s’agit bien sûr de Dave Clarke, qui viendra encore une fois terrasser le dancefloor avec un set éclectique et tout en technique dont il a le secret.

Il sera accompagné dans sa quête par Mike Dehnert, acteur majeur de la scène minimale allemande, qui prouve qu’il n’y a pas que Ostgut qui a le monopole de la techno berlinoise, mentale et hypnotique. Un régal pour les amateurs du genre.

Sinds het begin der tijden zijn we in het leven steeds op zoek naar idolen en helden.
Dit kunnen personen zijn die deel uitmaken van het dagelijkse leven, ordinaire helden, maar ook uit onze verbeelding of uit de mythologie afkomstig zijn.
Doorheen de eeuwen heeft ieder volk en iedere cultuur zo zijn helden, die als rolmodel dienen.
Helden uit de Griekse mythologie zoals Hercules, personages uit de duistere middeleeuwen zoals Robin Hood of Tristan, gevolgd door hedendaagse referenties zoals Chuck Norris of Justin Bieber.



Fuse ontsnapt uiteraard niet aan deze regel, wij hebben ook zo onze ideale persoon, dapper en volhardend, die door de jaren heen steeds trouw is gebleven aan zijn eigen stijl.
We hebben het dan uiteraard over Dave Clarke, die ongetwijfeld de dansvloer op zijn kop gaat zetten met een eclectische set en zijn verbluffende techniek.

Hij zal worden bijgestaan door Mike Dehnert, die met zijn eigen label Fachwerk een belangrijke speler in de Duitse techno scène is.
Mentale duistere en hypnotiserende techno is wat je van hem kan verwachten…een aanrader voor de liefhebbers dus.

Envie de laisser Lawrence et Pantha du Prince me raconter une histoire. Ce soir le label Dial vous invite à voyager aux côtés de deux de ses représentants les plus raffinés: les envolées mélodiques de Lawrence et l’univers sombre et onirique de Pantha du Prince.

Dial Records est le parfait exemple de label ayant réussi la difficile conciliation sonore entre exigence et danse. Depuis 2000, cette maison hambourgeoise nourrit les oreilles des amateurs avertis de musique électronique élégante. Vanavond wil ik reizen en ontsnappen. Mijn voeten blijven nu al 6 dagen op 7 rustig op de grond staan…vanavond wil ik ze compleet laten gaan.
Laat Lawrence en Pantha du Prince je een verhaal vertellen, maar deze keer bepaal jij wat er in gebeurt of doet je onderbewustzijn dit voor je.
